life’s like that...
encouragement poem
Racing, scampering across the sand
The tiny turtle marching band
Hurry, hurry, the waves are here
There’s not much time, and birds to fear
Salt air chokes with crashing sounds
Frothing foam consumes the ground

Hustle, bustle! Move as one
Quick! Escape the scorching sun
Flipper feet, like clockwork, beat
Must not stop, or face defeat
Slurried earth at last in sight
Then smash! The ocean’s cold delight

Topsy turvy, struggle in vain
Tossed back on the shore again
Don’t give up! Re-group, advance
There may be only one last chance
A mighty rush and yes, they’re in
The water swirls, it’s time to swim

Darting, diving, reach the depths
Never falter. Hide from threats
Travel freely, grow and feed
Then as nature has decreed
Remember at this time of year
Come back. Your home is waiting here
Encouragement is a sweet little poem about striving to achieve your goal, even when the odds are against you...
