A love poem, Moments in Time
from who knows whom! (we do but we’re not telling)
I find the days are all too short
However hard I strive
To catch each wayward moment
Before it glances by
If days could only be as weeks
A month, a year, eternity
I'd have the time my heart desires
To share my love with you
In your embrace the hours fly by
As free as swallows on the wing
In silence do the moments pass
So softly I can barely feel
(That, as if drifting into sleep )
The seconds slip, the minutes blur
Then in an instant morning's here...
It may be thought that such as I
Would lack the means to alter time
Yet with one kiss so warm and bright
For you, my love, then I just might
